your situation will neither be of any advantage nor of any disadvantage for you..NICL recruits AO who are freshers as well as those having good work ex.NICL do have certain top official who have Ph.D in your stream of knowledge so if any of those official will be in your panel then they may ask good question from you..but you can be rest assured that the questions will be answered if you have read your subjects with moderate degree of alertness.
As far as your diverse work ex is concerned definitely questions will be asked to check your practical knowledge of the field and also prepare why you want to work in this field now?.

Certainly you may be asked to justify the gap..yes tech question may be( they will not ask coding or algorithm though) ..prepare to face some HR questions..best of luck!!

yes prepare for tech unlike wipro/infosys they will not ask coding or programming to you..still have some basic knowledge of programming in general..be smart in answering..you know most of the candidates in interview will be engineer..what differentiates you from others??..best of luck!!

all 3 type will be asked..hr/tech/sub related..prepare automobile related questions..we are in process of posting some easy questions for you people (in language that can be understood by non-insurance people) to give you a glimpse of insurance...probably by Tuesday we will post it..work ex not is not an issue.

MV act,1988..contract act...requirement of contract...practical apporach to deal civil cases..WC act..insurance act...hr question to judge your judgement making capacity..rest depend on your panel.

nothing special..give more importance to insurance in your disciple..they could ask you own opinion regarding insurance business and its correlation with economy.ready for some easy looking but tricky question..have some update of last 1 month economic news!

Certainly you may be asked to justify the gap..but it is not of any disadvantage for you...only general questions with your field they will not ask you to draw a circuits/ask for functioning of transformer/ask you to design a low band filter... ..prepare to face some good HR and GK questions..best of luck!!

be ready to justify your position with respect to job situation....not very in depth technical question from your disciple but refresh your general idea about your disciple..ready for some general hr question which looks easy but are equally difficult in answer..act smart..more than technical they would like to see whether you have officer like attitude to face hard situation or not.

you could face more questions from your technical background with inclination toward insurance. NICL do have people with good knowledge of your field.apart from that donot miss the current affairs part also.some questions will be asked to check your GK/awareness..answer smartly!

rather than your own core technical..prepare questions with inclination on IT..you will not be asked to draw amplifiers, filters or induction motor equivalent circuit..but do have some prliminary knowlege of your subject..have current affairs ready with you..!

The kind of work ex you have is not very common and hence you really have a chance. have some knowledge of your field, be prepare how to present your previous work ex so that it appears more attractive for them to hire you. prepare some gk and current affairs also..the key for your selction will be how smartly you answer!!..

hello i am from mechanical engineering background but qualified the exam under generalist category due to more no. of posts ......plz tell me how to tackle the ques. if they insist on why not in specialist having engineering background........

Don’t worry a lot of people in generalist category have B.tech as their qualification..well what answer you will give its depend on you..give honest and clearcut replies..be logical..people taking your interviews are very senior official, they can easily identify if you will tell something that you don’t believe..not much technical will be asked but do have a bit of knowledge of motor vehicle(car/2 wheeler)..GK will be asked..your confidence level will be testted!

i think searching on google to find the basic differnce between any insuarnce company accounting vs any manufacturing company accounting can give you some points to see what makes the difference...though there is a proper book providing accounting system of insuarnce in india but i am not telling you the details of the same because you donot require it at this point in time.Once you get selected you will read that book on your own to clear internal exams of GIC. For the time being searching a bit on google will do the job.have good general knowledge of your disciple.

fill everything correct and updated in interview form, don't hide anything. ...if the interview panel note this on their own then its ok but donot mentioned that you had forget to mention it earlier.... i may be wrong but i think specially your work exp. can make your chances of selection better.

we have already mentioned in our post that they are asking that question...please understand that they want to know your own version for this, any repetitive reply will earn negative points for you.You are the best person on this earth to know about yourself So Prepare your own answer, I think for being a class-I officer that much effort you will have to put in..don't go deep into your core technical..however prepare some GK and be confident!

you do stand same chances of selection like any other candidate. but looking at your educationly qualification i think you have even better chances however the competition is really tough. You have sufficient knowledge of your domain , just Have some GK ready.We can only wish best of luck to you!

I think that question will certainly be asked.Prepare your own answer for it as your the best to know about your circumstances.any suggestion from our side will only be a cut-copy paste from google which will not work well.

Let them know you now that language..They may ask you to say some lines in your learnt language..not much core technical will be asked but do have introductory knowledge of topics..You may also have to justify the gap but this is not that much a big hurdle because NICL do not discriminate candidates on that basis..Go with confidence and don’t think that you have Gap rather present it like you have utilised your time continuously to learn a specific language skill !!

Prepare questions with inclination on IT still donot need to look into programing stuff..you will not be asked to write codes etc..have current affairs ready with you!!....No need to mention on your own where you have appeared in earlier interviews however if they ask you tell them the truth...Strictly speaking you should have working knowledge of English because NICL AO is all india transfer service,..but donot think that this is must….only one piece of advice,” don’t say to the interviewer that you donot feel comfortable with that language” go with confidence!!

Until you receive your marksheet/ degree it will be considered as persuing…However in interview let them know the exact status ( it will benefit you)

You may expect some question with respect to your own academic field (not very indepth questions but still refresh your knowledge as you may not be in touch with your subject for some time)..your views on telangana may be asked and your solution for this problem..else some GK questions with respect to current happenings in the country..prepare your own reason to join NICL(very important)..please contact your nearest interview centre 2 days in advance about the NOC issue (let NICL officers know that you will submit it if you get selected)..donot talk anything about NOC issue in front of interview panel..Best of luck Praneetha!!

The job profile depends on your the office in which you are posted in. Your job profile is wide and it is also possible that within an year or two you may have to handle more than 1 deptt. you may be given underwriting, claims. 64vb etc..if you are posted in strategic tieups you may got posting in departments which are not so common in normal offices..Once you get selected you will learn everthing easily..all these jobs can be effectively handled by the newly recruit AOs.

Well strictly speaking you are not eligible as per notification..but your qualification may be regarded as equivalent to the eligibility criteria..donot mention anything about this in front of interview panel..Gap will not make you illegible..prepare what you will say when asked by interviewer about the gap...only one piece of advise for you.."there is only one thing that you can do at this time..prepare hard for the interview..donot think anything else..you are one of the finest 5000 in the lot of 12-14 lakh..give your best..leave rest to almighty!!"...All the best!

type your question in the google and you will find the suitable reply..even if will give reply to your question my reply will be influenced by my knowledge in insuarnce sector..interviewer donot expect you to give reply like an trained insurance professional..they want to listen the view of a person who donot have much knowledge about insurance.

Whether to mention your work ex or not is completely your choice but if you mention it then you will have to submit NOC before joining NICL..if you donot mention your work Ex then be prepared to justify the Gap...take decision judiciously.

prepare to answer some easy basic questions from your disciple..apart from that questions from banking could also be asked like...What is NPA....What is neft,rtgs and ecs... What is subrogate..why you choose insuarnce..etc.
