Listen!!.....In the advertisement NICL have not asked u for any previous Work Ex or Insurance knowledge so there is no problem on not having the same
As far as what they can ask...........They can ask you anything.just anything........but it will normally be related with your chemistry backgroung or.......current affairs.............and also have a llok of all bank rates and financial news of last 1 month
Ok thanks very much. After graduation I gave the exam for life insurance agent exam by IRDA and passed it. What are the questions they can during interview? I am studying the basics of life and non-life insurance, insurance in India etc and current affairs of course.
Since u already have some knowledge of insurance you should atleat read the basics of insurance:...the basic 5 principle of insurance.....passing an exam will be an asset for you...!!
The principle are:.......Utmost good faith....insurable interest...contribution........indemnity......subrogation
i have been shortlisted for ao specialist it...i want to know, should i study technical subjects or some insurance related general terms and etc...

Do we need to have NOC if we are working in a private firm....or is it required only for PSU/govt firms..??

Normally NICL ask for NOC if you were working in any organisation earlier be it private or public. If you have any doubt, ask NICL head office for clarification...If you want to ask anything else you can submit your reply in top right box showing "NICL AO-2014".

NICL do have health cell...wherein they like to put people with pharma and medical background.....Just let me know the kind of NGO you was engaged in (no need to write the name just write-national level-district level-international NGO)...Coordinator at what level??

Finance disciple could have 2 type of people---are u MBA-Finance or CA??
You may expect good questions from Finance as your interview panel may itself include an officer who will be a qualified CA as well.Take a small look at GIC Accounting system also..that will help...Apart from that general questions could also be asked.

have no job exprnc...and i m not in touch wid my grad subjects since long.
can tech. qstnz be xpctd...and do i need to justify the time gap??

you could face more questions from your technical background with inclination toward insurance. NICL do have people with good knowledge of your field.apart from that donot miss the current affairs part also.some questions will be asked to check your GK/awareness..answer smartly!

rather than your own core technical..prepare questions with inclination on IT..you will not be asked to draw amplifiers, filters or induction motor equivalent circuit..but do have some prliminary knowlege of your subject..have current affairs ready with you..!

The kind of work ex you have is not very common and hence you really have a chance. have some knowledge of your field, be prepare how to present your previous work ex so that it appears more attractive for them to hire you. prepare some gk and current affairs also..the key for your selction will be how smartly you answer!!..

prepare some GK/ current affairs..justify your work ex..you are a bright candidate, just let them know the same and questions asked to you will not be difficult but tricky to test whether you have potential..all the best NIshant!

What is the job profile of an AO Generalist??

The job profile depends on your the office in which you are posted in. Your job profile is wide and it is also possible that within an year or two you may have to handle more than 1 deptt. you may be given underwriting, claims. 64vb etc..if you are posted in strategic tieups you may got posting in departments which are not so common in normal offices..Once you get selected you will learn everthing easily..all these jobs can be effectively handled by the newly recruit AOs.

Normally it involves taking care of the IT infrastructure of the various offices of NICL under your official jurisdiction. No programming is involved.

basic questions with respect to your disciple like defining bioinformatics, biotechnology, difference b/w bioinformatics and biotechnology,what is DNA etc..GK questions,personal questions etc.

no direct use as such..but as part of your studies you must have read networking and data communication.Let them know you can be an asset in rolling pan India networking for various offices of NICL. you can contribute in effectively maintaining and handling the backbone networks already running in its offices.
